First stop from the airport was the Sonaisali Island Resort. We were ferried across the water at night it total darkness (no lights on the boat!) to this wonderful and relaxing resort. | ||||||

At Fiji airport we were welcomed with shell necklaces, at the resort we were welcomed with a cocktail and in the room you get a little bowl of flowers to put in your hair. The result is... | ||||||

Here is a pic. of me on the jetty waiting for the ferry back to the mainland. The island behind me is Sonasali. The next part of the trip was the Sailing Safari around the Yasawas Islands. | ||||||

Here is a view of the beach that would be our home for the next two nights. Along the beach you can see the Bures - small huts - which apparently can withstand cyclone winds. | ||||||
